A Book Review of Thicker Than Water by Bruce Zimmerman

When Quinn Parker’s (Phobia Therapist) best friend Hank Wilkie inherits
valuable property on the island of Jamaica owned by his college friend, named Marty
Greene, who was recently .killed, Quinn flies down to the Carribean with him to help him
check it out. This fast-paced mystery novel, intricately plotted novel filled with murder,
mayhem, chills, love and laughter.

This novel shows the deep connections of the characters and how complicated
it is to solve the murders. It also allow the readers a chance to play detective. These
murders are because of money or wealth that leads to betrayal. All the scenes are
unexpected and you’re not going to realize whose the real head of all the crimes but
with all the investigations of Quinn Parker he found out the truth and solved it eventually
with the help of the dreadlocked lawyer named Bongo. It could be Quinn’s own life that’s
on the line but he’s eager to know the truth to save his bestfriend’s life and its family, the
woman she loved, and for the people that surrounds him. Quinn worked together with
Bongo and Hank and found out that the people they’ve trust are traitors. It taught me
that we should not trust someone easily because looks can be deceiving and the devil
once an angel too. Then, even if it cost our life, we should do the right thing and always
seek justice in a good way. It also taught me that phobias or our fears are really
frightening but murder can scare us to death just like what happened in the novel but we
can get through it and stay tough.

I think it is entitled, “Thicker than Water” because relationship with family and
friends that are closed to our hearts is the strongest and most genuine one to the point
that we can sacrifice even our own life for them to be saved and live a life safely. I
believe that this novel should be read because it has a great plot twist, there’s a life
lesson and the author has the ability to build and maintain suspense until the last page.
