Abstract
This study sought to find out the degree of relationship between the
readiness of online learning among faculty members in Mindanao State

second semester, Academic Year 2020-2021, and the barriers in the
implementation of online learning as perceived by these faculty members.
It specifically used descriptive method employing questionnaire in gathering
the desired data which were treated and analyzed using frequency and
percentage, average-weighted value and chi-square. The findings revealed
the following: (1) The faculty members were very ready in online learning
inasmuch their competencies in course design and the technical aspects
are concerned; (2) They found cost and access to the internet as a very
serious barrier, while administrative/instructor, social interaction, academic
skill and technical skill barriers only as serious; (3) There was no significant
relationship between faculty readiness in online learning in terms of course
design and technical competencies and the barriers in the implementation
of online in terms of administrative/instructor issues, social interactions,
academic skills, technical skills, and cost and access to the internet. This
