1 Introduction

Device Software ARC_2402 is released since December 2017.

1.1 Solved software issue in Digitizer software ARC_2402 compared to ARC_2401

Symptom Communication problems or slow connection.

Cause Faulty initialization of the Ethernet chip on the PMI Board.

Solution Install Digitizer software version ARC_2402.

As of software version ARC_2402 the Ethernet chip is initialized by a reset pulse during
start-up before the Ethernet communication starts.
This may improve the transfer rate of devices with a sporadic slow transmission to the NX
Workstation.

IMPORTANT:
The installation and service of the product(s) described herein is to be performed
by qualified personnel who are employed by Agfa HealthCare N.V or one of its affiliates
or who are otherwise authorized by Agfa HealthCare N.V. or one of its affiliates to provide
such services.

NOTE:
 While the device is in active clinical use (image plates are scanned), logging in
through telnet and redirecting the console to this telnet session is strictly forbidden, as
it might lead to an image loss.
 Perform a shading calibration:
If the software ARC_2402 is installed on a device, which was delivered ex production
with a photomultiplier having a 5-digit serial number, the error message "22758"
(loading the Digitizer calibration data failed) may be shown during the start-up.
In this case perform a new shading calibration with the used Image Plate type(s)
PIP and/or NIP. Refer to chapter 5, Calibration, of the Service Manual.
If ARC_2402 has been installed in production, a shading calibration is not necessary.

3 Instructions
REQUIRED TIME:
Approximately 15 minutes for the installation via USB flash drive
(1) Install the software ARC_2402 during preventive maintenance or to improve transfer
speed on devices with a slow transmission speed to the NX Workstation.
Follow the instructions described in the Installation Instructions for Digitizer Software
ARC_2401 and higher versions. enclosed to the software ZIP file.
(2) Inform the customer about the improvements.

4 Verification
Verify the successful software upgrade as described in the Installation Instructions for
Digitizer Software ARC_2401 and higher versions.
The instructions are enclosed to the software ZIP file on the Agfa HealthCare Library.
