Introduction
As more studies are being conducted relating to the psychology field than in the past. There are still
increasing cases of stress in college students at universities. It has also increased more during this
decade with the rise of social media. Especially during the time of the pandemic (Heffer, 2017).
University students usually face stressful situations due to their studies, field selection, degree etc.
Many researchers have pointed out mental health problems in young adults at the time of their

Which stressors are most common among college students, and what is the best method to support
these stressors based on college students' responses, and what coping mechanisms have proven to
be effective/ineffective?
Mental health issues are growing among students. It should be noted that in most cases, students are
reported to have been feeling depressed and anxious and having suicidal thoughts too. This poor
psychological well-being is sometimes associated with physical disorders (Freire, 2020). It could
also be associated with the broader concept of stress that involves all aspects of life’s difficulties,
psychological health of college students. Ongoing research has mainly been carried out as part of
students' health insurance surveys (Morales Rodriguez, 2019). The main purpose of this study is to
determine the role of some factors like age, gender, self-esteem, psychological distress. Anxiety,
severe depression, insomnia, self-efficacy, etc, linking to the presence of perceived stress in
students, after evaluating different aspects of mental health in college students. This s could help
better understand and evaluate the psychological state of college students (Karyotaki, 2020).
