Game Mechanics: Online Chess Tournament

Before entering the tournament, every player is required to create an account in the app or
website chess.com. Each player can either use laptop or phone as long as it has access to
internet. The players will be paired online on chess.com interface. All standard rules for the game
apply.
BASIC MECHANICS:
1. Sign up or log in to your account.
2. Hover over 'play' in the left menu, and click 'play.’
3. Then, in the right-hand menu, click on 'play a friend'
4. Enter your opponent’s username and click their profile.
5. The game will be played in rapid rating and standard mode. The game will only last for
10 minutes. Below is the example of the format:

6. When the game starts, you have a certain amount of time to make your first move, or the
game is considered to be abandoned. If you don’t make your first move in 5 seconds, a
timer will appear. In this game it will be aborted in 55 seconds, if you don’t make a move
when the timer runs out, the game will be counted as a loss for you by abandonment.
7. Every time each player makes a move, a 'snapshot' of the game is taken. When you go
into the moves list, you can see the state of the clocks at each snapshot, after each move
was made. However, if you don't make a move in time, no snapshot is taken.
8. There will be no pauses to fix connection issues or etc.

9. Each player who will win in each round will be the one to fight to another winner -- until
two players left.
10. If the result of the game is draw, then the player will have a rematch but the time
duration will be changed to 5 minutes. If the result is still for a 5-minute chess game,
then the time duration will be changed to 3 minutes until a player wins.
11. No outside assistance during the game.
HOW TO JOIN:
1. Fill out on the posted registration form in PSME-TUPSU.
2. First come, first serve basis. Each player must be registered and enrolled in BSME TUP-
Manila.
3. Please be ready for the payment of the registration fee (₱25 – through GCash only).
Failure to pay the registration fee until the given due date will be considered disqualified.
SCHEDULES / TIMING OF MATCHES:
o The tournament is an Online Tournament.
o Team/s that fails to appear during their scheduled time and after a grace period of 10
minutes will be declared default.
o Players will be advised of schedule and timing of matches thru their respective group
chats.
o Only Tournament Director can alter schedule and timing of matches.
DISQUALIFICATION:
Any form of CHEATING.
This includes the use of:
✓ 3rd party apps,
✓ piloting,
✓ or accounts played by unregistered players, etc.
TOURNAMENT PRIZE:
The champion shall receive a cash prize of ₱150.00, while the 2nd placer shall receive
₱75.00 through sending to your Gcash account.

Game Mechanics: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE:
o Tournament is open to all-male, or all-female, or mixed teams
o Team will be divided into brackets in a Single Elimination Round.
o The match will be played via draft mode (5 bans).
o Teams cannot switch members that are not included in their official line-up.
o All rounds will be a Best-of-3 round.

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:
o A player can only join one team.
o Players must be available during tournament dates.
o Players must be currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,
School year of 2020 – 2021.
o Each team must be registered in the google form posted.
o Please be ready for the payment of the registration fee (₱150.00 per team – through
GCash only). Failure to pay the registration fee until the given due date will be considered
disqualified.
TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
A team must consist of the following members:
o 5 main players (required)
o Once nominated/registered regular/reserved players cannot be replaced throughout the
event.
SCHEDULES / TIMING OF MATCHES:
o The tournament is an Online Tournament.
o Team/s that fails to appear during their scheduled time and after a grace period of 15
minutes will be declared default.
o Players will be advised of schedule and timing of matches thru their respective group
chats.
o Only Tournament Director can alter schedule and timing of matches.
GENERAL CONDUCT:
o Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of sportsmanship,
maintaining a friendly and polite demeanour in activities involving other participants and
public in general.
o The organizer has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered player
from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament.
o Cheating doesn’t need to be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is
already a violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all conspirators.
o Examples of cheating includes, but are not limited to:

✓ Ghosting
✓ Account Sharing
✓ Piloting
OTHER DETAILED RULES & TECHNICAL ASPECTS:
All participants will be advised of other rules or technical aspects of tournament prior to
start of competitions.
TOURNAMENT PRIZE:
The champion shall receive a cash prize of ₱800.00, while the 2nd placer shall receive
₱300.00 through sending to their Gcash account.

Game Mechanics: Valorant

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE:
o Tournament is open to all-male, or all-female, or mixed teams.
o This will be a round-robin tournament.
o Teams cannot switch members that are not included in their official line-up.
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:
o A player can only join one team.
o Players must be available during tournament dates.
o Players must be currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,
School year of 2021 – 2022.
o Each team must be registered in the google form posted.
o Please be ready for the payment of the registration fee (₱125.00 per team – through
GCash only). Failure to pay the registration fee until the given due date will be considered
disqualified.
o Only 16 teams can register and participate in the tournament.

BEFORE MATCH
Team captains of each team will have to choose maps and sides. Each map from the map
pool can be chosen only once. If the map is banned, then it cannot be chosen. We suggest taking
a screenshot after the map selection is completed. After map selection team captains have to
write that their team is ready in the lobby chat. The game should not start before that. The match
has to start at the latest 10 minutes after the tournament round started. Before starting team
captains have to take a screenshot of the lobby.

DURING THE MATCH
If one of the teams will not pick, all the agents in the character selection screen and the
game goes back to the lobby, the game has to be remade.
In the case that the game started before writing ready from both sides, the team which did
not write ready has the right to call a remake before round 1 of the game starts. (before the
countdown in the game of round 1 reaches 0). If any of the players are not connected to the game
before the counter reaches 0, the team can call a remake and the game has to be remade.
If the game started on the wrong map, the game has to be remade.
AFTER THE MATCH
Once the match finishes, both team captains have to take a screenshot of the results and
send it to the created group chat for Valorant participants. On the game result screenshot, results
above the scoreboard, all the players and information of the match on the right of the results have
to be visible. If one of the teams will not send the screenshot within 15 minutes of the match end,
the screenshot which was sent by the other team will be taken into account. If the screenshots of
both teams are missing within 15 minutes of the match end, the game will not be counted and in
case of BO1, both teams will be disqualified. If the screenshots from both teams are not matching,
the situation will be looked into by Tournament Directors.

o The organizer has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered player
from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament.
o It is forbidden to cheat, modify the game files, exploit bugs, and/or use any third-party
application which would give an unfair advantage against other users. All cheats are
completely forbidden to use under any circumstance while playing in any event at GLL.
Using any cheat will result in bans and disqualifications. This includes, but are not limited
to:

Especially, Radar hacks, wall hacks, Speed hacks, Aim hacks, Hitbox
manipulation, Teleportation - Automatically DQ.
TOURNAMENT PRIZE:
The champion shall receive a cash prize of ₱500.00, while the 2nd placer shall receive
₱250.00 through sending to their Gcash account.

Game Mechanics: Axie Infinity Tournament

Each player can either use laptop or phone as long as it has access to internet. The players
will be paired on the Axie Infinity interface. All standard rules for the game apply.
BASIC MECHANICS:
1. Sign up or log in to your account.
2. Enter your opponent’s ronin address on the “Add Friend” tab and add them.
3. The tournament will have a Best-of-3 Elimination Round, Best-of-5 Semi-Final Round,
and Best-of-7 Final Round.
4. Players can change their Axie lineup as long as it is in the same Ronin account
registered.
5. The players will be divided into brackets until 2 players will remain for Final round.
6. There will be no pauses to fix connection issues or etc.
7. If the result of the game is draw, then the player will have a rematch. Therefore, draw
matches are not counted to the game.
8. No outside assistance during the game.
