FINAL Examination, 1st Semester 2021-2022

1. Describe a conflict that happened in your organization and indicate how the conflict was
resolved. In your experience, what practical tips and strategies in general, would you
recommend to minimize conflict in any organization? (10 points)
 There was a time when a task was too much for my co teacher. Someone offered
help to that teacher but in the end, the task was not carried out because they
had a disagreement on how to do the task. The principal had a meeting with
them and the task was done/ accomplished. The school principal was able to
designate sub-tasks using the “divide and conquer” style of managing the tasks
so that it would be accomplished soon. The school principal assigned Teacher A
to do Tasks A and B, while Tasks C and D will be done by Teacher B. Both had
different sub tasks to make, so they can complement each others’s work. By
that, I learned that I can make teachers accomplish a BIG task by making two or
three people to do the task but to divide the “sub-task” among the members of
the team to comply the requirements.
2. In your opinion, has the introduction of e-mail and other information technologies
increased or decreased the amount of information flowing through the educational
institutions? Explain your answer. (10 points)
No. In fact more people are now using technlology to aid/ help in the teaching-learning
process. Teachers and school heads including the students are making use of the
technology so that the teaching, learning and supervisorial tasks will be accomplished.
3. What is social distancing? How does it affect, if any, the human behavior in the
organization? (10 points)
It is undeniable that the coronavirus disease has taken the world by surprise:
Governments radically forced guidelines that, in a matter of days, shut down businesses
indefinitely and people found themselves compelled to abide by new norms. While the
hygiene measures remained the same as for previous pandemics, the social distancing
norms were particularly disruptive and made the experience unique.

To society, social distancing presents the dangers of increasing social rejection, growing
impersonality and individualism, and the loss of a sense of community. It negatively
affects learning and growth, and it prevents people from effectively socializing, which is
a fundamental human need. First and foremost, the measures carried a strong
psychological message, which is the fear of others, along with the idea that others are
potential carriers of deadly germs and life‐threatening diseases. The alarming rate of
contamination and death from the virus contributed to establishing more panic, and
even paranoia among many. What is particularly concerning is the fact that this
psychological effect could potentially remain in our communities, even long after the
pandemic. Whether this is at work, in restaurants, or in public spaces, our society has
long been characterized by physical interactions between people.
We are used to working in groups, going places, meeting new people, and making
conversations with them on a daily basis. As we navigate through life, much of what
fulfills us are the bonds we create with other people, and more often than not, those
bonds materialize through physical interactions. “Social interactions are proposed to be
a basic human need, analogous to other fundamental needs such as food consumption
or sleep. Indeed, feeling insufficiently connected to others is associated with profound
and lasting negative consequences on physical and mental health, even leading to
increased mortality” Orben, Tomova, and Blakemore (2020).
Infants, children, teens, adults, and families are in high distress from the dramatic changes that resulted

from the Coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic. We have to explore strategies to ease trauma resolution,

promote healthy socialization, and support effective behaviors of young children and youth who have

been negatively impacted by the pandemic, quarantine, and changes in everyday life.

We can make use of social media to address this problem. Another is the use of nature tripping or a trip to

natural sceneries to be able to “take a break” in the modules at home. Next is make something out of the

quarantine. We can create things while in a quarantine.

4. Has the recommendation of work from home increased or decreased the motivational
and performance level of the employees/teachers? Explain your answer. (10 points)
Personally, I can say that it has increased my motivation to do school-related things
while at home. At home, I can accomplish reports, check student outputs and do online
classes with my students. Also, I can organize what things I need to accomplish the next
day and be able to start fresh in the next morning. I think, if the work from home set up
will be continued, the teachers can accomplish many things like reports, online classes
and other school related works.

5. Chances are that the school/company you are attending is currently undergoing some
sort of change to adapt more closely with its changing environment. Discuss the
external and internal forces that are driving the change. (10 points)
Instructional Delivery is one of the changes that our school is having as of the moment.
We are under quarantine and our students do not have access to printed Self-Learning
Modules. So, what we do, as teachers is to create video lessons and send these video
lessons to the students via online platform. Another is that the teachers can also do the
distance learning via online learning classroom platforms.
