This Manual Describes Partial Opening, Then Full Open and Then Full Close
Note: This manual describes partial opening, then full open and then full close.
(Similarly, a condition of Partial closing, full closing and then full open can also be achieved.)
The Actuator for control valve (Knife Gate/ Slide Gate Valve) for coarse and fine feed consists of
the following:
Objective: To achieve Full opening, Partial opening and full closing for Coarse feed
and fine feed arrangement.
Important Points:
Operation Sequence:
Position 1: Valve is completely open (No electric supply to Solenoid valve or Limit switch)
To close the Knife Gate/Slide Gate valve, 24V DC supply to be given to 5/2 way solenoid
valve so that the Knife Gate valve completely closes. At this time, there should be no signal
to limit switch. Now the Knife Gate valve has closed 100%.
To start the fine feed, cut off the supply from 5/2 way - so that the Knife Gate valve starts
opening.
Simultaneously supply signal to limit switch...hence when the position (say 30% open) is
reached, it will energize the 2/2 way solenoid valve and the system will stay put at this
position– resulting in fine feed.
Now to completely open the Knife Gate valve, cut off the supply from limit switch.
