About 4 years ago, I attended a classical music concert for the first time. My family and I went to the
Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. I read that classical music is good for a people
and everything like that, but I went there with great reluctance. How wrong I was!

The hall was small, there were about 150 people. In the middle of the stage there was a huge organ, and
several more musical instruments, and about 30 people - a female and male choir, came out and began
to sing. Then the musicians came out and got to work. The orchestra played both compositions by
Vivaldi, Bach and Beethoven, as well as Kazakh national songs.

We couldn't help but notice how good the music was and the performance in general. I especially liked
how the dombra sounds, and my parents were more impressed by the amazing playing on the kobyz -
how accurately he conveyed the cries of swans and the barking of dogs in kuy! In general, the audience
applauded willingly after each song.

Once again, I realized that watching and listening to a live concert is much better and more interesting.
The impressions were unreal.

Last year I visited an interesting country which situated in Central Asia. Republic of Kazakhstan is the 9th
largest country in the world by its territory. But the total population of the country is only 18 million.

Kazakhstan is an independent, sovereign and democratic country with a stable economy. It is also a
hospitable state because there are about 150 nationalities. The official language is Kazakh. Russian is
frequently used and considered as the second state language, English is third language.

Let's talk more about hospitality. “The guest in the house is God,” says a Kazakh proverb. Any stranger
who enters their home is considered a guest. Be sure to set the table and feed the guest. Kazakh
national food reflects the traditional nomadic lifestyle. There are many dishes like Beshbarmak, Kuyrdak,
Sorpa, Kumys, Shubat, Kurt, Baursaks, Shelpeks etc.

As a rule, Kazakhs have many relatives. As a result, Kazakh traditional holidays as weddings,
“Shildekhana”, “Tusau kesu”, “Kyrkynan shygaru”, “Sundet toi”, etc. are an integral part of Kazakh life.
However, the presence of numerous relatives is more admirable than surprising. It is admirable that
relatives are always ready to help each other in any situation. Therefore, a Kazakh family that has lost a
loved one will never be left alone with their grief.
