3. Mode of Play:
3.1. Each player in the team tees off on each hole and decides the best shot (or which
shot they would like to use).
3.2. This position is marked by a ball marker.
3.3. The other members of the team, then pick up their balls and drop it within a club
length of the marker (no closer to the hole) and play their second shot from there.
3.4. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole (including
putts) until the ball is “holed.”
3.5. For putts, the ball must be placed within 3 inches of the marker no closer to the
hole.
3.6. The first ball that goes in, is counted as the team score.
3.7. If the ball the team chooses to play is in any of the following situations:
3.7.1. Hazard (sand, water, etc.)
3.7.2. Rough or
3.7.3. Out of bounce,
one cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard (or a stymie position) even if the
relief is within one club length away.
5. Winners:
The team with the lowest score will be declared Champion and the team with the next
lowest score is declared the Runner-Up.
Both foursomes will get a total of 8 trophies.
6. Ties:
6.1. In case there is a tie for first place, the Champion will be decided by “drawing of
lots” with the losing team being declared Runner-up
6.2. In case there is a tie for second place, the Runner- up will also be decided by a
“drawing of lots.”
7. Longest Drive:
7.1. The men will tee off from the white tee and the women will tee off from the red
tee.
7.2. The ball must end up in the “fairway” to be considered.
7.3. No mulligans allowed.
7.4. Longest Drive for men will be on Hole No. 16.
7.5. Longest drive for women will be on Hole No. 2.
7.6. Each of the two winners gets a trophy.
1. The contest is open to all the participants and volunteers of the UPAA Tee Up High
Charity Golf Tournament.
2. Entry fee at registration is a FunPack of $15.00 which includes entry to the 2 Hole-in-
One competitions at Holes 3 and 8. Entry fee must be paid prior to participation.
3. Participants may play as often as they want, provided they pay the subsequent $5.00
putting fee for 3 putts at the putting area. There are no $5.00 individual Putting
Contest tickets sold at registration.
4. Each participant will be given 3 putts for every entry.
5. No practice putts allowed at the contest.
6. Points are earned depending on the value of the hole where the ball goes in.
7. The total points earned on these 3 putts will be your score for the entry.
8. The entry with the highest score will be declared the winner of the putting contest.
9. 1st prize is $60; 2nd prize is $40.
10.In case of a tie, the cash prize will be divided among the highest scorers.
11.Winner/s will be declared at the awards dinner.
*Net proceeds of the charity golf tournament go to the scholarship fund established for poor
but deserving students at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
