Canvas Painting Competition Guidelines

Purpose:
This contest is designed for the Women’s Month Celebration to encourage and promote every
woman to be proud in everyday living even in difficult times.

Eligibility:
1. Participant must be an undergraduate student in St. Francis Xavier College who has a subject
in Social Sciences in the current school year (Second Semester, First Term 2022-2023).
2. Participants must register using the official registration form. The registration form is part of
the program and serves as attendance.

Rules:
1. Eligible participants should submit 1 one piece of art/
(All of your paintings will display in SFXC Lobby)
2. His/Her entry must be an original piece, completed solely by the student and have not
been exhibited, revised, and recognized by any other competition.
5. Artwork must focus on the current Women’s Month Theme:
“Agenda ng Kababaihan, Tungo sa Kaunlaran” and must bear the signature of the
artist with year indication.
6. Specifics of the artwork entry:
a. Painting should be at least 16” x 20” (40 x 50 centimeters)
b. The medium to be used for the artwork must be oil or acrylic on canvas only.
c. Must have the description tag attached to the back Using 100 words or less,
the artist must describe how the artwork represents the Women’s Month
theme, explain what type of media is used and why.
Painting must have a mechanism attached so it can be hung.

Submission of Entries

8. Painting can be landscapes, portraits.


9. Participating artists are prohibited from posting are prohibited from the submitted artwork
on their social media accounts in the duration of the competition. Violation of this rule shall
result in automatic disqualification.
10. The last submission of the Painting is on March 23, 2022 (5:00 pm) at CTE Office.

PRIZE AND AWARDING OF WINNERS


11. The announcement of selected winners will be on April 01, 2022, via Facebook Live.
12. All artworks shall automictically become the property of Saint Francis Xavier College.

Prizes:
1st place – 150 load
2nd place – 100 load
3rd place – 50 load
