Orientation On Empowerment Technologies: MODULE 0 - Techno
Course Description
Information and communication technologies (ICT) as a tool for curating, contextualizing,
collaborating, and creating content and experiences for learning in the professional tracks.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, the students are expected to demonstrate:
1. In-depth knowledge and understanding of:
a. the nature of ICT in the context of their lives, society, and professional tracks;
b. the internet and its applications, and different threats and crimes that may be
encountered online;
c. different use of advanced tools and apply them to create ICT content for use in various
tracks;
d. different platforms and imaging and design for ICT environment and apply them in making
ICT contents such as printed layouts, websites, presentations; and more; and
e. collaborative development of ICT content from the previous weeks and develop a
presentation consisting of existing and previously developed content; and
2. Competencies in:
a. distinguishing various determinants and contents of ICT;
b. application of different tools for several ICT activities such as research, presentation,
collaboration, computation, and more;
c. expressing ideas and concepts related to community issues and addressing them through
ICT concepts;
d. examining critically the choice of tools for ICT content development; and
e. demonstrating and showing improved abilities and skills of overall ICT content.

• Two grading periods: midterms and finals
