Work Immersion Delivery Models

hours, learner’s purpose and needs, school capabilities and compliance to the TESDA, DOLE, and
DepEd Work Immersion venue guidelines.

However, if these models do not fit a specific situation or concern, regions may design their own
delivery model. Novel/unique delivery modes should be approved by the Regional Office. Proposals
describing the unique delivery model should include in their justifications the work immersion
hours, the learners’ purposes and needs, and the school’s partnership arrangements. For all models,
the Work Immersion Curriculum Guide (CG) in Annex A shall be followed.

The number of hours allotted for Work Immersion Proper, which is Part II of the CG, may vary based
on the model to be chosen by the learners and the school.

Below is a summary of the Work Immersion delivery models and their description. For more details,

RESUME

A resume is a formal document which highlights the personal background of a

job applicant including work experience (if any), educational background, achievements,
skills and other essential information. It is designed to provide a detailed summary of
qualifications usually written in one to two pages.

A good resume provides the potential employer substantial information to

believe that the applicant is worth interviewing. A well-written resume will help you get
selected for a job interview.

7|Work Immers i on
Types of Resume

1. Chronological Resume is a resume format that prioritizes relevant professional

experience and achievements. Chronological resumes are one of three common
resume formats.

You should use a chronological resume if:

✓ You have several years of experience in one career path.

✓ You have worked for several employers or clients in one industry.
✓ You have minimal or no gaps between jobs.

SHS Dep artm ent |8

2. Functional Resume -is a resume format that primarily showcases a candidate’s skills. As
opposed to a reverse-chronological resume that organizes a candidate’s experience under
their previously or currently-held professional jobs held in order of regency, the functional
resume groups a candidate’s experience under skills or categories of skills.

This allows employers to focus on the candidate’s qualifications such as any technical or soft
skills required for the job.

9|Work Immers i on
3. Hybrid Resume-Sometimes referred to as a combination resume, a hybrid resume is a
blend of a chronological resume format and a functional resume. This type of resume
highlights the skills and achievements section first and then follows that with work
experienced in chronological order.

This type of resume is beneficial because it highlights accomplishments and skills, shows
managers the most valuable information first and helps to downplay gaps in work
history without hiding them. This type of format can appeal to hiring managers who
prefer both traditional and non-traditional formats.

4. Infographic, video and digital formats- An infographic resume is a creative way

to show employers why you deserve their attention.

S H S D e p a r t m e n t | 10
While infographic resumes generally shouldn’t replace a standard resume
completely, they’re perfect for bringing to interviews, publishing on your site or social
media pages, and attaching to email applications.

5. Online Resume - An online resume is a digital version of your resume that includes
your job history, contact information, education and relevant skills.
11 | W o r k I m m e r s i o n
It is not a scanned copy of your paper resume. Rather, an online resume is designed
with special consideration for search ability and function. There will be a spot for each
employer, education and training plus, online resumes can have additional features that
paper resumes can’t, such as hyperlinks to portfolio samples and multimedia clips.
