Preference 1: National Museum of Natural History.

Aim: - To create an institution devoted to Environment Education, which should provide an

important centre of non-formal environmental education

1.1 Introduction:
The National Museum of Natural History was established as one of National level institution
to portray and promote awareness on the National Heritage of the country. The NMNH was
created in 1972 as part of the celebration of the 25th year of India's independence. Indira
Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India, said that India needed such a museum "to promote
environmental awareness".

1.2 Developer/Client:
National Museum of Natural history is a prestigious Project of the Ministry of Environment,
Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).

1.5 Reason to select the topic :

Designing the national museum of natural history will give an opportunity to design
with nature or rather I can say to design for nature. Now a days we used to only take
from nature , by designing this museum we get to not only know our nature but also
got a chance to do something for the nature.by preserving the natural history and
demonstrating its importance to people, will bring the generation somewhat close to
nature and encourage them to not only preserve the nature or natural resources but
also realise their love and need for nature.as an architecture student this will provide
an opportunity to create a link between the mother nature and the modern technology
in architecture.

Preference 2: World Class Bus Terminal.

Aim: - To ensure a world class transit experience to bus commuters.

2.1 Introduction:
Bus terminals are crucial nodes to interchange where commuters switch from bus to other
first and last mile connectivity such as grameen seva ,auto rikshaw , metro. Almost 40% of
trips in delhi are made by public buses.

2.2 Developer/Client:
Delhi Transport Department , Delhi government.

2.3 location:

Total area of the proposed site : 12 acres.

2.5 Reason to select the topic :

Almost 40% of trips in Delhi are made by public buses. yet bus terminals in Delhi have
been neglected for decades and the convenience and comfort of bus commuters often
ignored. The present terminals do not incorporate basic public.

2.6 Future developments :

The AAP government has given its approval for modernisation of seven of the busiest
bus terminals in delhi to ensure a world class transit experience to bus commuters.
Tender for another two bus terminals( Najafgarh, Azadpur) are expected to be floated
soon.

Preference 3: Indraprastha Sanskritik Kala Kendra.

Aim: - The design proposal aims to create holistic architectural experience

showcasing culture in all aspects. The art and culture should be systematised into
one coherent body of knowledge from inside as well as outside the building.

3.1 Introduction : The proposed Sanskritik Kala Kendra will be situated on a 9.3
acre site in Dwarka near Dwarka metro station. It will be green building and eco
friendly design. The design is being fianilised by studying the similar structure under
the department of architecture of DDA. This will be constructed as socio cultural
centre .

3.2 Developer/Client :

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) , Govt. of India.

create the relation of society with art and culture with the designed environment.
