Objective:
This laboratory activity is designed to enable you to practice creating a circuit of a counter using
Proteus.

Procedure:

Open Proteus 8 Professional.

Click New Project.
Enter LabAct6.pdsprj as the name of the project.
Click the Browse button and save the project in D:\CpE227Lab_Activities folder. Click Next.
Choose Create a schematic for the selected template, choose DEFAULT and click Next.
Choose Do not create a PCB layout. Click Next.
Choose No Firmware Project. Click Next.
Click Finish.
Create the given schematic diagram in proteus.

Materials Needed:

555 - Timer
CHIPRES10k – 10k resistor o
100k variable resistor
o CHIPRES110R - 110 resistor
o 10F capacitor
o 0.01F capacitor
o SPST push button
o 74LS192 – BCD Decade Up/Down
Counter o 74LS08 – AND gate
o 74LS01 – NAND
gate o LED-RED
o 7SEG-COM-ANODE – 7-segment common anode
o 74LS47 - BCD to 7-segment decoder/driver
