1 PRELIMINARIES

Replacement Procedure
1. Statys and Load Conditions
Statys must be switched on manual By-Pass and Q30 opened.

2. Compatibility
This file in convenient for Statys Cabinet and OEM version.
Use and adapt yourself this MSM also on Statys with transformer for fan voltage
adaptation.

3. Tools
Screw gun, Torx socket (TX20,TX30), Hexagonal screwdriver 6 & 7),
Screwdriver straight head (SL3), Protection gloves

2 Fans removal

Replacement Procedure
2.1. Dismantling protection panel

Loosen all fixation

screws of protection
panel (7 x T30).

2.2. Disconnect fans drawer

Dismount DU440
board

Disconnect XB1, XB2 and XC7

Remove fans drawer fixation screws (2x Tx30)

2.4. Disconnect fans
Put down the drawer with fans upward

Cut loop-type cable clamps

Do not cut loop-type cable clamps used only for

supply cables.

Loosen terminals of M10 and

M20 in order to free supply
cables

Disconnect the 3 wires on XB1 and

XB2.

2.5. Dismount fans
Remove the 2x 4x Tx25

Remove the railings

Remove fans fixation nuts and slices 2x4x(7)

Keep ground cable

Remove M10 and M20 fans

 3 New fans assembly

Replacement Procedure
3.1. Assembly of M20

Put down M20 and be careful of the

sense of air flow.

Connect phase and neutral of the

longest cables.

Tight fans fixation nuts and slices 4x(7) Connect ground cable.

3.3. Railings assembly

Mount and fix

railings on M10 and

3.4. Speed sensor connection

Connect the 3 wires of the new

fans on terminal of XB1 and XB2.

3.6. Insert fans drawer

Connect XC7 on DU440

Insert fans drawer before complete insertion

Connect supply cables

4 Tests

Replacement Procedure
4.1. Fans calibration
Conditions:
Statys is still on By-pass with Q30 opened.
If source 1 is present, close Q41 and close SS1
Else close Q42 and close SS2
=> Fans are powered and start running.

Wait 30 seconds that the speed of fans is stable.

Then launch “fan calibration” command.

DU440 board is recording fans speed.

On DU440 board, all LEDs

must be switched off

4 Tests

Replacement Procedure
4.2. Fans test

To test fan functioning, we will

verify fans fault detection in case
of fan fuse failure.
Fan failure are simulated by
opening fuse support.

Use UPSxlporer for diagnostics

4.3. Fan test of M10

F25 to F28 are all closed.
Open F25 – F26 and wait that preventive alarm is activated.
ssx1 fan failure and ssx2 fan failure are also activated
If after 1mn there is no alarm, it means M10 is not running.
4.4. Fan test of M20
F25 to F28 are all closed.
Open F27 – F28 and wait that preventive alarm is .
ssx1 fan failure and ssx2 fan failure are also activated.

If after 1mn there is no alarm, it means M20 is not running.

5 End of installation

Replacement Procedure
5.1. Assembly protection panel
Open SCR closed for fan test.

Put on the protection

panels

Tight all fixation

screws of protection
panel (7 x T30).

Close Q30, activate SCR according to By-pass and switch off the manual By-pass.
Intervention of fans replacement is finished
