The Problem. This study aims to determine the impact of owners educational level
on the profitability of small retail businesses. The participants were taken are the
current business owners of the selected small retail businesses in Barangay 20,
Gingoog City. The respondents must be involved in day to day running of the
business. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: (1) What is the
educational level of the business owners? (2)How do business owners perceive the
profitability level? (4) Does educational has a significant impact on the profitability of
the business?
Research Methodology. The study utilized the correlational research design using
survey questionnaire specific for each of the predictor and criterion variables. Signed
and approved letters of permission were secured from the office of the school

small retail business owners in Barangay 20, Gingoog City. They were then
retrieved; data were tabulated and analyzed using SPSS. The statistical treatment
