A. What is the importance of school policies and procedures to teacher and
students? 

ANSWER:
Policies are important because they help a school establish operating
procedures and create standards of quality for learning and teaching, as well
as set out expectations and accountability. Without these, schools would lack
the structure and function necessary to provide the educational needs of
students.
 
B. What is the most important aspect to consider when developing a school
policy? 

ANSWER:
Attendance does matter. Missing a lot of class can create huge holes that could
lead to academic failure. In short, an absence of policy leads to inconsistency
of decision making. Besides, policies are also important because they help a
school establish model operating procedures and create standards of quality
for learning and safety, as well as expectations and accountability.
 
C. What is the importance of stakeholders’ consultation when formulating a
policy? 

ANSWER:
Consultations allow policymakers to gather expertise and policy-relevant
information about the feasibility of policy options, to hear stakeholders'
preferences regarding policy outcomes, and to evaluate the implementation
and socio-economic impact of policy measures.

 
D. In the event that a problem occurs in the absence of school policy, what
should a teacher do to address the problem? 

ANSWER:
Suggesting measures to tackle the problem, it said, "An option to address
teacher absenteeism that can be explored is biometric attendance of all
teachers in primary schools for each scheduled class/lecture/session/distinct
from the present system, where it is morning and evening to ostensibly record
arrival.
 
E. What are the things that the school needs to improve? 

ANSWER:
Invest fully and equitably in students.
Build capacity to provide a rigorous, relevant, broad course of study
Advance supports for the whole child.
Recruit, prepare, develop, and retain a diverse and well supported educator
workforce.
Expand early learning.

 
Reflection. Complete the following statements. 
 
A. I realize that school policies and procedures help schools in establishing rules
and guidelines in the operation and implementation of school’s program and
projects.it upholds the school’s vision, mission, goals and objectives that serve as a
guide to school administrator, teachers, and students in their everyday life on campus.
 
B. I believe that the whole operation of a school lies in school policies and
procedures. The school administrator and teachers should be guided with the school's
policies and adhere to the procedures and guidelines for the successful
implementation of school programs and projects.
 
C. I feel that the manual of regulation serves as a guide for private schools in basic
education in implementing their programs to ensure that the implementation anchored
in the mandate of DepEd. 
 
D. Being a professional teacher requires to implement school policy and
procedures within the school including the interaction among the school, learners,
parents, and members of the wider community.
