Topic: Introduction to the prescriptions. The prescriptions and its structure, the
rules for writing it out. Doses. Pharmacopoeia. Classification of medicinal
forms. Solid and soft dosage forms based on the work program of the discipline

1.Topic: GENERAL PRESCRIPTIONS. THE GENERAL RULES OF
PRESCRIPTION. SOLID DOSAGE FORMS
Medicines are used to treat patients in all areas of medicine, and many of
them are given to patients according to prescriptions. Therefore, the development
of prescription issues is an integral part of the preparation of a doctor.
2. Lesson purpose: mastering the medical skills of diagnosis and treatment
of patients with a dental profile, the ability to provide emergency care, to prevent
complications.
Students must know to build the skill.:
- What is a prescriptions and its components
- Prescription forms and orders confirming the forms of prescription forms and
rules for the design of prescriptionss.
- General rules for prescribing prescriptions
- Classification of dosage forms
- The value of the individual ingredients included in the drug.
- Properties of hard and soft dosage forms.
- Rules for prescribing hard and soft dosage forms.
- Storage rules for poisonous, potent and narcotic substances in pharmacies and
medical institutions and especially the prescription of them.

tablets, dragees, granules) and soft (ointments, pastes, liniment,
suppositories) dosage forms.

1. Laboratory work.
To get acquainted with different solid and dosage forms, excipients and
corrective substances for solid dosage forms, types of capsules, with various
soft dosage forms, excipients.
2. Write out the prescriptionss:

Option 1
1. 40 powders of cephalexin (Cefalexinum), 0.5 in gelatin capsules. Assign 1
capsule 4 times a day.
2. 20 powders of methyluracil (Methyluracilum) at 0.5. Prescribe by mouth 1
powder 4 times a day after meals.
3. 20.0 minute powder, consisting of 50% streptocidum (Streptocidum) and 50%
silver sulfathiazole (Sulfathiazole silver), for blowing into the nose.
4. Nitroglycerin (Nitroglycerinum) in tablets of 0.0005, appoint 1 tablet under the
tongue for pain in the heart.
5. 30 tablets containing folic acid (Acidum folicum) 0.0008 and ascorbic acid
(Acidum ascorbinicum) 0.1. Assign inside 1 tablet 2 times a day.
6. 10 rectal suppositories “Neo-Anusolum” (Neo-anusolum). Assign 1 suppository
to the rectum 2 times a day.
7. 10.0 ointments containing 0.25% oxolin (Oxolinum). Assign 3 times a day to
lubricate the nasal mucosa.
8. 30.0 paste containing 5% zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum). Assign for application to
the affected area.
9. Liniment containing 10% chloramphenicol (Chloramphenicol) in an amount of
40.0.
10.10 Prescribe 15 grams of paste for devitalization of pulp containing 10%
arsenic acid (Acidum arsenicosum anhydricum) 40% thymol (Timolum), as an
ointment base glycerin (Glycerinum).
Option 2
1. 100 powders of aminosalicylic acid (sodium paraaminosalicylate)
(Aminosalicylic acid), 1.0 each. Assign inward 3 powders 3 times a day.
2. 30 powders of rifampicin (Rifampicinum) at 0.3 in gelatin capsules. Assign
inside 1 capsule 3 times a day half an hour before meals.
3. A powder containing 30% zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum), 50% talc (Talcum) and
20% starch (Amylum).
4. Isosorbide dinitrate (Isosorbide dinitrate) in tablets of 0.02. Assign 1 tablet
orally 3 times daily before meals.
5. 40 tablets containing 0.05 each of ascorbic acid (Ac.ascorbinicum) and rutoside
(rutin) (Rutoside), 0.2 dextrose (glucose (Dexstrose). Assign 1 tablet 3 times a
day by mouth.
6. 10 vaginal suppositories containing 0.05 trichomonacid (Trichomonacidum).
Prescribe 1 candle 2 times a day.
7. 20 rectal suppositories “Betiolum” (Bethiolum). Assign 1 candle 2 times a day.
8. Write out 40 grams of 0.5% neomycin ointment (Neomycin) for external use.
9. 50.0 liniment in castor oil (Oleum Ricini), containing 5% xeroform
(Xeroformium) and vinylin (Vinylinum), for application to affected skin.
10. 30.0 pastes with 20% zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum). Assign for application to
affected skin.
Option 3
1. 6 powders of phenobarbital (Fhenobarbitalum) at 0.1. Assign 1 powder inside
one hour before bedtime.
2. 10 complex powders consisting of papaverine hydrochloride (Papaverini
hydrchloridum) - a single dose of 0.02, and platyphylline hydrotartrate
(Platyphyllini hydrotartras) - a single dose of 0.005, in waxed paper. Prescribe 1
powder 3 times a day.
3. 100.0 Urodani (Urodanum). Assign 1 teaspoon of the powder inside in 1/2 cup
of water.
4. Powder consisting of 5% bismuth subgallate (dermatol) (Bismuth subgallate)
and 25% zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum).
5. Ciprofloxacin (Ciprofloxacin) in tablets of 0.25. Assign inside 1 tablet 2 times a
day.
6. 10 rectal suppositories with methyluracil (Methyluracilum) at 0.5. Assign 1
candle 3 times a day.
7. Write out 30.0 grams of tricrizol-formalin paste containing 20% tricrizol
(Tricresolum) and 5% formalin (Formalinum) to cover the pulp after amputation.
White clay (Bolus alba) and glycerin (Glycerinum) are recommended as forming
substances.
8. 25.0 ointments containing 10% streptocidum (Streptocidum) for application to
affected skin.
9. 50.0 ointments containing 10% birch tar (Pix liquidae) and precipitated sulfur
(Sulfur praecipitatum).
10. 100.0 paste containing 2% salicylic acid (Acidum salicylicum), up to 25% zinc
oxide (Zinci oxydum) and starch (Amylum) and petroleum jelly (Vaselinum)
(Lassara Pasta).
Option 4
1. 40 powders of ampicillin trihydrate (Ampicillini trihydras) 0.25 in gelatin
capsules. Assign 2 capsules 4 times a day.
2. 30.0 magnesium sulfate (Magnii sulfas). Assign inside once in ½ cup of water.
3. 50.0 powders containing 1% boric acid (Acidum boricum) and 20% zinc oxide
(Zinci oxydum).
4. Diclofenac (orthophene) (Diclofenac) in tablets of 0.025. Prescribe 1 tablet 3
times a day with meals or immediately after.
5. Dragees containing 0.1 mebhydrolin (diazolin) (Mebhydrolin). Assign 1 tablet
2 times a day.
6. 20 rectal suppositories containing 0.00015 digitoxin (Digitoxinum). Apply 2
times a day for 1 suppository.
7. 25.0 grams of officinal white mercury ointment (Ung. Hydrargyri album).
8. 30.0 ointments with 3% tetracycline (Telracyclinum). Assign for application to
affected skin.
9. 50.0 ointments containing 5% resorcinol (resorcinol) (Resorcinole) and 5%
salicylic acid (Acidum salicylicum).
10. 40.0 paste containing 1 part boric acid (Acidum boicum), 3 parts zinc oxide
(Zinci oxydum) and starch (Amylum), and 9 parts naphthalan ointment (Ung.
Naphthalani).

Option 5
1. 10 powders of diphenhydramine (diphenhydramine) (Diphenhydramine) at
0.05. Prescribe 1 powder 2 times a day.
2. Sodium sulfate (Natrii sulfas) 30.0. Assign inside once in ½ cup of water.
3. 50.0 minute powder containing 2% boric acid (Acidum boricum) and 5%
salicylic acid (Acidum salicylicum). Assign as a powder.
4. Enalapril (Enalapril) in tablets of 0.005. Assign inside 1 tablet 2 times a day.
5. 50 tablets “Allochol” (Allocholum). Prescribe 2 tablets orally 3 times a day
after meals.
6. 10 rectal suppositories containing zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum) 0.2, bismuth
subnitrate (Bismuthi subnitras) 0.075, tannin (Tanninum) 0.05. Prescribe 1
suppository 3 times a day rectally.
7. 20 vaginal suppositories containing 0.12 of aminitrozole (nitazole)
(Aminitrozole). Assign 1 candle to the vagina at night.
8. 30.0 ointments containing 0.5% dequalinium chloride (decamine) (Dequalinium
chloride). Assign for application to the affected areas of the mucosa.
9.100.0 ointments on lanolin containing 10% ichthyol (Ichthyolum), 6% salicylic
acid (Acidum salicylicum), 10% turpentine oil (Oleum Terebinthinae). Assign to
rub the skin in the area of the diseased joint.
10. 25.0 paste containing boric acid (Acidum boricum) 1 part, zinc oxide (Zinci
oxydum) and starch (Amylum) in 5 parts, and naphthalan ointment (Ung.
Naphthalani) 9 parts.
Control of mastering the topic of the lesson
