HUMAN TRANSLATION - HOW TO TRANSLATE IN ONEFORMA

Go to https://desk.oneforma.com/ and login with your OneForma credentials.

- In "My Tasks" there is a list of tasks that have been assigned to you.

- Go to the one you would like to start and click START > Start task.

- The web editor opens and strings to be translated are shown one at the time. This is how the page
looks like:

1
In this page you will find many elements. Let’s see what they are individually:

1 – Task name: the name of the task you are translating. This info is useful when raising
queries in Global Query.

2 – Hit ID: the identification number associated to the string you are translating. This info is
useful when raising queries in Global Query.

3 – Source Language text: the source string to be translated.

4 – The source string is not complete (partial): the checkbox to be selected when the source
is truncated.

5 – The source string is not in the expected language: the checkbox to be selected when the
source is not in the expected language, for example you are translating from English into
German, but the source text is in French.

6 – Note: it can contain info or a link to check the context of the source string.

7 – Proposed translation 1: the box where you have to input the 1st translation.

8 – Proposed translation 2: the box where you have to input the 2nd translation.

9 – Submit: the button to confirm your translation and send it to the system.

10 – Skip HIT: the button to skip the hit in case you don’t feel comfortable with its content
(adult content, insults, etc.).

2
11 – Instructions: this panel contains quick links to the job guidelines in our Sharepoint site
that you carefully need to check and follow during the project.

- Read the source carefully, check the note (if any) to see the context, and provide 2 different
translations following the provided linguistic guidelines. Make sure the text is accurate and reads
fluent and natural.

- When you are done and are sure about the proposed translations, click Submit to send it to the
system.

NOTE! In case there is a sentence with adult content, insults, etc. you don't feel comfortable with,
click SKIP HIT to have it assigned to another translator.

- If the source string is not complete (it is truncated), select "The source string is not complete
(partial)" and translate the string literally, leaving the translation truncated as well.

- If the source is in another language (different from the one you are supposed to translate from),
select "The source string is not in the expected language" and Submit the string directly without
providing any translation.

- When you have translated all the strings and/or you want to exit the task, click CLOSE in the upper
right corner of the screen (next to your username) to go back to the My Task dashboard.

HUMAN TRANSLATION - HOW TO CHECK YOUR QUALITY

PERFORMANCE AND SEND COUNTERFEEDBACKS

3
- From the "My Tasks" page, go to the task you want to check the performance for and click START >
View Performance.

- The Performance page opens. In the upper part called My Performance, you can find:

- Quality score: the quality score that you got for that specific task

- Translations Reviewed: the number of translations that have been reviewed for that
specific task

In the lower part, called Translation feedback, you can find a table with the list of all the strings
where reviewers have found mistakes and/or made edits.

You can use this to compare your original translation with the one submitted by the reviewer. You
can also see error category that has been assigned to the mistake/edit.

In case of errors you agree with, please learn from the feedback and avoid the same issue in the
future.

In case you disagree with the correction made by the reviewer, go to the green button and click
Send counterfeedback.

4
This will open a popup where you can add your comment and explain why you disagree with the
reviewer’s correction. When you are done, click Send counterfeedback.

This comment will be shared with the Project Managers and will be arbitrated by a third party to
decide if the error should be removed from your report or not.

NOTE! Make sure to submit polite/professional comments and also make sure to only comment the
corrections you disagree with well-founded and reasonable comments.

Once you have sent a counterfeedback for a hit, no options will be available anymore for you in the
report and you will see the pending status like this:

5
If after our arbitration, we agree with the reviewer and the error is confirmed, you will see a
comment with the final arbitration there. If on the contrary we agree with you and consider that the
correction made by the reviewer was not valid and/or fair, we will remove the error from your
report and it will disappear from the list. Score will be updated automatically as well.
