2022 Event Rules

DATES: June 7 & 21 , July 12 & 26 , Championship August 2nd

Times: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. except Championship 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.


Lakes: Multiple event venues, see schedule at www.lakeagassizfishing.org
Multi-species: Walleye, Bass, Northern Pike/Muskie, Bluegill/Sunfish and Crappie
Points: All league events are Catch-Record-Release format. Points will be awarded as a team of Student Anglers each
night based on the league’s size/species/points chart provided. (Boat Captains are allowed to fish but not score points
for the team) A total of 5 fish can be scored each night. Scoring for 2022 events will be done through the FishDonkey

Bonus Points: If you register 1 fish from each of the 5 species you will be awarded 2 bonus points for that night’s event.
Launch Time: Captains will be permitted to put their boat in the designated lake at any time but teams MAY NOT put a
line in the water until 6:00 p.m.
End Time: Boats must be returned to the launch and off plane by 9:00 p.m. Be patient as we load all boats and turn in
team score cards to the league representative.

RULES
1. ALL teams consist of two student anglers and one boat captain (minimum of 18 years old and one year past high
school graduation)
2. Boat captains will operate the boat at all times under the power of the main engine. Student anglers can control
the boat under power of electric trolling motor at the discretion of the boat captain.
3. Student Anglers must wear life jackets at ALL times.
4. Boat captains must wear life jackets when the big motor is operating above trolling speed and have their kill
switch attached to their life jacket.
5. Eye protection must be worn at all times. (Prescription glasses or sunglasses)
6. Boat captains must provide proof of insurance.
7. All fish submissions for scoring must include pictures of the fish on the ruler with the nose and tail visible and
clearly touching at the nose and the tail pinched. All measuring is the nearest ¼ inch and anything touching the
line is rounded up to the next ¼”. Hero shot with the student angler who caught the fish must be included to
qualify the fish for scoring.
8. Rules are meant to promote sportsmanship and fair competition. Disputes will be resolved by the league
representative at the event and/or the board of directors.
9. If you are caught cheating you will be DISQUALIFIED from the League.
10. Aquatic Nuisance Species- Precautions must be taken to ensure that boats are decontaminated prior to entering
a league venue and again after the event to prevent the spread of ANS. For decontamination information
visit https://gf.nd.gov/ans/faq#7 . All tournament participates are required to have an exit inspection, if a North
Dakota Game and Fish Department representative is present at the lake access site. All anglers should consider
all lakes contaminated and act accordingly.
11. All current North Dakota Game and Fish Department & Minnesota DNR regulations must be followed.
