2008 - 2010 NCTC, Port Hueneme
Instruct entry level apprentices on maintenance techniques and principles relate
d to military vehicles. Qualified to train gas phase section consisting of isol
ation and repair of faulty components within the ignition systems, fuel systems,
emissions systems and on-board computer diagnostic troubleshooting. Also traine
d on starter systems, charging systems and air bag restraint systems. Assist the
periodic updating of lesson materials and references as changes occur.

Maintenance Supervisor
1998 - 2007
Santa Clarita Transit
I directly supervised seven mechanics and six service workers for a transit agen
cy which encompassed sixteen dial-a-ride units, 38 transits and 34 commuter buse
s. I developed and implemented a succession planning program for the mechanics.
I solely developed and implemented the OSHA compliance protocol for the facility
. I was the primary instructor for all staff and accomplished all reporting and
compliance requirements. Additional duties encompassed the daily functions of a
maintenance clerk for all admin reports and filing due to the vacancy of such po
sition the entire period

Maintenance Department Manager 1991 - 1998


U.S. Army, Fort Irwin, CA
Supervised, coordinated and evaluated a division fleet maintenance operation con
sisting of 320 various tracked and wheeled vehicles. Managed the work performan
ce, training requirements and the supervision of 90 personnel who were divided i
nto 9 support sections. Supervised the administrative program which controlled
over 750 types of repair parts valued at $3M. Enforced EPA and OSHA requirement
s. Accountable for equipment valued at $15M.
Maintenance 1st Line Supervisor 1988 - 1991
U.S. Army, Mannhiem, Germany
Supervised, coordinated and evaluated the maintenance program which maintained a
company fleet of 30 various tracked and wheeled vehicles. Managed the work per
formance, training and supervision of 15 personnel. Supervised the administrati
ve program which controlled over 150 different types of repair parts and histori
cal data. Accountable for property valued at $3M.

Senior Instructor 1983 - 1988


U.S. Army, Fort Knox, KY
Trained entry level apprentices on heavy armored military combat vehicles. Trai
ning consisted of diagnostic troubleshooting, isolation and repair of faulty com
ponents within the electrical, hydraulic and fire control systems. Evaluated and
monitored 5 junior instructors for instructional techniques. Assisted in the p
eriodic updating of lesson materials and references as changes occurred.
