Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Installation Guide – Citrix Policies

1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 DOCUMENT PURPOSE
This Implementation Guide outlines best practices and the steps to configure Citrix Policies using Microsoft’s Group
Policy Management Console (GPMC), as this is the recommended tool to create and apply policies to your Citrix Cloud
Environment.
This document covers common configuration options and is not intended for custom designs or specialized use cases
of the Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops Service. For additional information, please see the Virtual Apps and
Desktops product documentation.

1.2 INTENDED AUDIENCE

The intended audience for this document includes systems administrators, engineers, architects and technical
stakeholders seeking guidance to configure the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service.

2.2.4 Folder Redirection Policies

Microsoft folder redirection policies or Citrix Profile Management policies can be utilized to configure folder
redirection policies. Loopback processing needs to be enabled for this policy to work on the Computer OUs that
contain your VDAs. It is also recommended that Administrators are not affected by this policy; in order to do this,
remove Authenticated users from the Security Filtering, and add the Citrix users security group (same one that has
permissions to the redirected folders share) and the Domain Computers group.
