I. Course Description:

This course will emphasize English as a second language with main focus on language teaching methodologies to improve knowledge on the
structure and fluency in the English language through listening, reading, writing, speaking, and viewing.

II. Course Credit:

3 units
54 hours

III. Course General Objectives:

General: At the end of the course, the future teacher shall have acquired an overview of how linguists look at language and what they do when they
work with language for more affected instruction.

Specific:
1. Identify substances to be taught and the facts to be mastered through an understanding of the English language.
2. Decide how to teach the English on the basis of the various aspects of the language.
3. Make a more in-depth study of the linguistics from a basic knowledge of the discipline.
4. Show interest in linguistics and its cultural significance.
