28. A class room is 7 m long, 6.5 m wide and 4m high. It has one door 3m × 1.4 m and
three windows, each measuring 2 m×1 m. The interior wall are to be colour
washed. The contractor charge Rs. 5.25 per sq. m. Find the cost of colour washing.

The cost of white-washing the walls at the rate of Rs. 1.60 per m2 is Rs. 179.20. Find
the cost of tiling the floor at the rate of Rs. 6.75 per m2.
30. Find the weight of a lead pipe 3.5m long, if the external diameter of the pipe is 2.4
cm and the thickness of the lead is 2 mm and 1 cubic cm of lead weights 11 gm.
31. If costs Rs. 2200 to paint the inner curved surface of a cylindrical vessel 10m deep.
If the cost of painting is at the rate of Rs. 20 per m2, find:

32. Construct a triangle ABC in which base

34. An insurance company selected 2000 drivers at random in a particular city to find a
relationship between age and accidents. The data obtained are given in the
following table :

35. Fifty seeds were selected at random from each of 5 bags of seeds, and were kept
under standardised conditions favourable to germination. After 20 days the
number of seeds which had germinated in each collection were counted and
recorded as follows :

36. A circular park of radius 20 m is situated in a colony. Three boys Ankur, Syed and
David are sitting at equal distance on it’s boundary each having a toy telephone in
his hands to talk to each other.
(i) Find the length of the string of each phone

(ii) Find the length of AD

(iii) Find the length of GD.
