Reflection

1. Review the list of qualities discussed in class. Which of them do you believe you
possess? In what ways are you able to demonstrate them?

I believe I possess commitment to learning, interpersonal skills, and concern for others,
based on the list of qualities discussed in class.

Commitment to learning because I've been taught to be passionate about everything I do.
I always put in my time and effort whenever I want to do something. This, I believe, is
important because it can help us improve our mindset that learning takes a lot of time
and effort, and that when we commit to learning, we will get the desired outcome.

In addition, I believe I have interpersonal skills because, as an extrovert, I am used to

peer interaction. When I interact with others, I learn about their differences and
similarities with me. Furthermore, I believe that having interpersonal skills helped me to
gain a broader understanding of the characteristics of different people. As a result of
this, I learned not to pass judgment on others and to respect their differences.

Lastly, I believe I possess concern to others. My parents taught me to always help people,
not because we will benefit from them in the future, but because they need it. As I grew
older, I realized what they had taught me. Some people may help others because they
believe they will benefit from them in the future, but that's not genuine concern. My
parents' life lesson taught me to be concerned about others. Now, I apply this to my
friends and even strangers who needs my help and support. I can also demonstrate this
by simply being critical of every decision I make that may have an impact on others, as
this shows that I care about the people around me.

2. Are there other personal qualities that you possess (not discussed in class) which you
find important? Cite and explain.

One quality that I believe I possess that is not discussed in class is resiliency. It may be
an old and simple quality, but I believe it is very important to me. As we get older, we will
face a lot of challenges, and being resilient can help us stay on track. It is okay to feel
sad or disappointed when we fail, but we must overcome and continue on our journey;
this is resiliency. I believe I demonstrate resiliency by simply accepting and learning
from my failures. My failures serve as motivation for me to keep going. Life can make us
feel defeated at times, but by remaining resilient, we can keep learning and moving
forward.

3. Which among the qualities would you like to develop further? Why do you think is it
important to work on them? What strategies do you have in mind to acquire them?

I believe the quality I would like to improve the most is my sense of purpose. I believe it is
critical to work on them because they will lead us down the path we desire. Knowing our
purpose is important in determining our next steps in life. It will also help us in deciding
what we want to do and what will make us happy. I believe one of the strategies I have in
mind for acquiring a sense of purpose is simply knowing myself. If I fully understand
myself, I will easily find my life's purpose.
