DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY USANC LOGISTICS DATA ANALYSIS CENTER [BUILDING 3205, REDEYE ROAD REDSTONE ARSENAL, AL 25998-7466 June 24, 2020 AMLD This letter is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated February 10, 2020, reference number AMC FOIA # FP-20-015510/FA-20-0284. The request is for the history of ownership on a Sig Sauer M17 pistol, serial number TF002682. Information was found in the Army File of the Department of Defense (DOD) Small ‘Arms/Light Weapons Registry for an M17 9mm Semiautomatic pistol (NSN: 1005-01- 661-7317), serial number TFO02682. This weapon first appears in the registry on October 30, 2017 as a shipment by the weapon manufacture Sig Sauer Inc., Newington, New Hampshire to the Army General Supply LMP Stock Records Center Receiving Point, Anniston, Alabama. The next record shows that this weapon was then received by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution Anniston, Anniston, Alabama on November 9, 2017. The DLA Distribution Anniston, Anniston, Alabama then shipped this weapon on November 16, 2017 to the Logistics Readiness Center Fort Campbell, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The next record shows this weapon as being received by the D CO, 1° BN, 502" Infantry Regiment, 101° Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky on December 22, 2017. The last record was a turn in of the weapon by the D CO, 1° BN, 502 Infantry Regiment, 101* Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky on April 23, 2019 to the United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Warren, Michigan. There are no other transactions involving this stock number and serial number in the DOD Small ‘Arms/Light Weapons Registry.
