OF PRE AND POST LOCKDOWN
DATA ANALYSIS ON TOP 10 PHARMACEUTICAL
INDUSTRIES
Introduction
Considering the three important constraints
as time factor, money factor, and attitude of
respondents, it was determined to cover top 10
pharmaceutical companies.
There are different methods to collect data
and suitable method of data collection can be
decided keeping in view the consideration of
time, cost, and reliability of source.
Secondary data collection is comparatively an
easy task. It can be collected from old newspaper
articles and Google. Lot of information is
collected from internet. During the pre and post
lockdown in COVID-19 in year 2020 announced
lockdown from 25 march, ‘Indian
pharmaceutical companies’ strategy is consider
to know the changes in Indian pharmaceutical
companies with respect to changed patent act
The topic is data analysis on comparative study
on pre and post lockdown effect on the economy
on pharmaceutical industries, than I was
collected the meaningful secondary raw data
from old newspaper articles and most of all data
collected from internet. Than I was filter or
cleaning this raw data to analysis in different
patterns for easy to understand. Finally report
on this.
OBSERVATION:-
When we consider all pharmaceutical industries in
India, we get the Indian pharmaceutical companies
total size is 50Bilion$ in Indian rupees is 3.5 Lakh
crore rupees. All over export from India is close to
17Bilion$ in Indian currency is 1.2 Lakh crore rupees.
20% Drugs are produces in India compare to world
as volume. Total world market compare to volume
than India become in 3rd rank. Total world market as
compare o value than India in 10th rank. More than
1.2Trillion$ overall market 3-4% in share to world.
Indian pharmaceutical sector are highly focus on
generic business. In Indian 17Billion$ export in there
Half of the export are going to the US market
(8Billion$). US generic market is close to 80Billion$,
In Indian as compare to volume is 30%. Indian
pharmaceutical companies are highly depending in
US market.
In India pharmaceutical industries more pressure of
USFDA. 2-3 years below USFDA take action on Indian
pharmaceutical industries as like observation on
drugs, import-export of drugs, and chemical process
on drugs. Until Indian pharmaceutical industries
not fulfill the facilities given from USFDA sector. If
not fulfill this facilities than USFDA not give the
license on production. Indian government more
focuses on health care center. They control pricing on
medicines.
In India there are many fake companies produce
copies of medicines therefore this impact on prices of
industries of pharmacy sector.
The government of India also providing incentives to
encourage investment in pharmaceutical sector and
helping domestic players. Under the automatic route
in the drugs and pharmaceutical sector including the
companies using recombinant technology the
government has permitted 100% foreign direct
investment (FDI). According to report the Indian
government plans to set-up a US$639.56 million
venture capital (VC) fund. The fund is encourage
discovery of new drugs also help the strengthen the
pharma infrastructure.
DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION:-
There top 10 pharmaceutical companies in India. We
analysis there share holding as on 31-03-2020 on different
category on number of shares and as percentage.
There also define the effect on economy of
pharmaceutical companies from pre and post lockdown at
covid-19 period where on 25 march there PM Modi
announce the lockdown in India. Where pre lockdown
period from 1-February to 28-March 2020 and post
lockdown period from 4-April to 29-May 2020. Here, I was
give post lockdown period from April because as define
statistics lockdown period also be started from post-
lockdown period. There applying this date from 1-Feb to 29-
May 2020 there difference of 7 days verses price holding
market from February to may 2020.

India. There stock of market prices continuously increases.

From the analysis we were give the important
information that Indian pharmaceutical companies
more needed to India. Covid-19 harmful virus are
came in India and death rate is grow up instantly. We
are in phase we are depend in Indian pharmaceutical
industries and there medicines. Were also percentage
line graph is very useful to understand the profit and
loss of pharmaceutical companies. At February and
March 2020 the production is that’s all minimum but
in April and may 2020 the production medicines and
drugs is double and also profit of pharma companies.
