KKK
The Kataastaasan, kagalanggalangan katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan
(KKK), also known as Katipunan, is probably the most influential organization in
Philippine history. Anti-colonial movements and groups had already existed for
centuries before the Katipunan was founded.

Prior to the Katipunan, the national imagination was generally missing from
the goals of local revolts. On the other side, propagandists such as Marcelo H. Del
Pilar, Graciano Lopez Jaena, and Dr. Jose Rizal did not seek ultimate independence
for the Philippines from Spain, but rather demanded equal rights, representation, and
protection from friar abuses. When Jacinto joined the movement, he was only 18
years old. He was a student at the University of Santo Thomas, where he was
studying law. Despite his youth, Bonifacio recognized Jacinto's potential and
intelligence. Jacinto was 22 years old when Bonifacio selected him as a commander
of the katipunan in Northern Luzon. At the age of 24, he died of Malaria in the town
of Magdalena, Laguna. Katipunan devised a complicated structure and a well-
defined value system to steer the group as a whole toward a common purpose. The
Kartilya ng Katipunan was one of the most important Katipunan documents. The
Katipuneros were compelled to read the Kartilya and fulfill its code of conduct when
they joined the Katipunan. When writing the document, Emilio Jacinto considered the
following factors: guaranteeing that members of the society possess the attributes of
a Katipunero. The Kartilya can be treated as the Katipunan’s Code of Conduct. It
contains fourteen rules that instruct the way a Katipunero should behave, and which
specific value should be uphold.

Our people, the Filipinos, have strong ethical and intellectual foundations. Our
heroes' intellectual capacity to compete those with better education was
demonstrated by the fact that they had a goal and set of rules, plainly a work of
intellect. The document also demonstrated that Filipinos are dignified and treat
everyone fairly. They battled for our independence with awe. Back then, Filipinos
had dignity and patriotism. That they care about people and have noble intentions.
That our heroes did everything they could to free us from oppression.
