This Document contains design calculations pertaining to civil works of wagon tippler pit (wt1, wt2 , WT3& WT-4 )and
associated Structures for the proposed Hisar thermal power project (2x600MW) , Haryana

Earth pressure case 1 Dry case with unit weight of soil = 1.8 t/cum
case 2 Water table case
Ka (earth pressure coefficient) Ka =Ko = 0.5 ( at rest)
For the design, case -1 is critical , hence the same is considered
for design of Walls,beams Water table level is considered at finished grade level
and counterforts
