As you can see on the photo, the skinny Filipino is being chase by the Americans.

We can conclude that the Americans are controlling and enslaving the Filipinos by
taking over their lands and making them do the most work for their own benefit.
During this period, the Americans are proving themselves to the Europeans (as you can
see at the upper left corner of the photo) that they are powerful and worthy by taking
the lands of the Filipino farmers, discriminating them in terms of work condition,
wages, and etc. In addition, the photo portrays a Filipino holding a gun, suggesting that
they do not want to be oppressed by the Americans. Aside from that, the photo also
shows that the Americans are demanding respect from the Filipinos, which pushed
them to chase and control them. And one of the details that portray this artist's point of
view is that during this period the Filipinos were unable to defend their properties and
rights, as we all know that this era the Americans were wealthy and powerful enough
to rule and govern the country.
