Pada akhir kursus ini, pelajar akan dapat
1. Menjelaskan konsep, teori, model dan ciri-ciri berkaitan dengan pentadbiran awam
2. Menjelaskan kepentingan pentadbiran awam jentera pentadbiran awam dalam
melaksanakan tugas mentadbir negara
3. Mengaitkan konsep pentadbiran awam dengan struktur, proses dan fungsi
4. Membezakan antara skop pentadbiran awam dan sektor swasta.
9. Sinopsis
Kursus ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan kepada para pelajar tentang asas dan perjalanan
bidang pentadbiran awam di Malaysia. Kursus ini akan memperkenalkan teori, model dan
konsep berhubung dengan ilmu pentadbiran awam khususnya yang digunapakai dan
diamalkan di Malaysia. Bidang pentadbiran awam sangat berhubung rapat dengan lain-lain
cabang ilmu seperti sains politik, ekonomi dan pengurusan. Oleh itu, kursus ini akan turut
memperkenalkan beberapa pendekatan dalam ilmu pengajian yang lain dalam hubungannya
dengan pentadbiran awam. Proses dan sistem politik, struktur dan fungsi institusi-institusi
pemerintahan kerajaan akan dibincangkan. Hubungan antara kerajaan di bawah kerangka
federalisme Malaysia adalah penting dalam meletakkan struktur asas pentadbiran awam di
Malaysia dan konsep ini akan turut dibincangkan.

Setiap pelajar dikehendaki menyediakan SATU (1) tugasan individu. Pelajar dikehendaki memilih
SATU (1) tajuk atau isu yang berlaku dalam pentadbiran atau perkhidmatan awam di Malaysia.
(seperti yang disenaraikan)
Berikan huraian dan kupasan berkaitan dengan isu yang dipilih dan sertakan contoh-contoh yang
bersesuaian. Pelajar boleh merujuk artikel-artikel daripada jurnal ilmiah, suratkhabar,dokumen
awam dan bahan bacaan lain yang berkenaan. Pelajar disarankan berbincang dengan pensyarah untuk
topik dan menyiapkan tugasan ini.
Penulisan: 5-10 mukasurat; langkau 1.5 (spacing); Font 12, Times New Roman.
