Garcia, Justin Ram A.

Getting regular daily exercise is a good thing because it’s one way to stay fit and healthy.
The problem with many types of exercise is that they force you to do them alone and they don’t
work well in team settings. In my opinion, one of the best ways to enjoy exercising is to participate
in team sports. The benefits of team sports are quite diverse, but we aren’t really looking at the
physical benefits. While I prefer the solitude of a good run, there are social and health benefits
to participating in team sports. Playing team sports can help with your social and mental
wellbeing while providing a powerful way to build your fitness level and reduce stress.
Team sports allows individuals to come together and strategize towards a common goal.
In many team sports, the focus is not on the individual. The focus is instead on the collaborative
effort of the group. Being part of a team will make you feel accountable to your groupmates.
Being on a team forces you to work with those people and it teaches you to get along with them
in a group setting.
Another great part about playing team sports is that it really helps you build relationships
with other people, and it increases your social skills too. Another benefit is that it helps in
improving your ability to work with others. Team sports require a lot of coordination between
players, especially if you want to win the game. Participating in a team sport also lets you explore
the team dynamics of co-operation and interaction, and to build our communication and social
skills.
One of the major benefits of playing team sports is that it helps to build confidence.
Getting a confidence boost from other players will go a long way in building self-esteem.
Something that is really convenient about team sports is that they are very versatile in terms of
the many choices. Whatever the case may be, there is always a team sport that you can find
which you will like.
Team sports also develops important life skills. Healthy competition and good
sportsmanship are part of team sports. You will learn to think on your feet, deal with
disappointment and loss and exercise your problem-solving skills. Team sports also involves some
strategy which helps build cognitive efficacy.
