I assisted IT Technicians at the USDA Forestry Computer Deployment project. I distributed new Dell
desktops and laptops. I assisted in the setup of computers and performed data migration of user profiles
from the legacy PC’s to the new PC’s. I then checked the workstations for proper operation.
PC Technician: I performed server and workstation roll out at LAX01, LAX02 Aerospace Logistics. I
removed the old server and installed a new HP Proliant DL 380 EU Server. I then transferred data to new
server, reconnected users to the new server and validated logon, reconfigured printers and personal user
account settings. I checked all workstations for application and printer access. I then documented the old
hardware and removed the computers to specified area in building.

IT Intern Computer Network Technician: I assisted IT workers with the implementation of


setting up a FDDI Network infrastructure using current 10Base-T network interface adapters and
RJ-45 cabling. This consists of removing the old RJ-45 cabling, and installing fiber optic cables
and connector adapters to use with the current NIC cards. The school WAN was upgraded from
the previous use of wireless to FDDI.
