Product Sorting using Vacuum Robot Conveyor Sorting

Objective:

To understand and designs sequence control for product sorting using Vacuum Robot
Conveyor Sorting system.

Activity:

a) Understand and observe the system operation shown in Figure 1. Based on your
understanding, List all the actuators use in the system and suggest suitable sensor to be
couple with each actuator. Fill your answer in Table 1.
b) Design your automation system including pneumatic, electrical and ladder diagram to
perform the sequence operation by using an integration of Electro-pneumatic and PLC
system.

Product Transfer using Hydraulic Crane Station


Objective:

To understand and designs sequence control for product transfer using Hydraulic Crane
Station.

Introduction:

Hydraulic Crane Station as shown in Figure 2 is designed to provide basic


understanding of the lift crane. This design to portable and compact enable to connect
hydraulic line and electrical wiring.

The press consists of main hydraulic motor, 1:20 ratio gear box, two axis hydraulic
ram as robot arm and limit switch. Vertical hydraulic cylinder on the right with bore size
30mm x Rod size 16mm x 100mm working stroke. Both end with single male clevis. The
function of this cylinder is to lift up the load. Horizontal hydraulic cylinder below with bore
size 30mm x Rod size 16mm x 1500mm working stroke. Both end with single male clevis.
The function of this cylinder is to extend distance to load and unload heavy goods. Hydraulic
motor/Rotary Actuator used to rotate the two axis hydraulic crane arm. The hydraulic crane
able to rotate left and right at maximum 180 degree. The rotating speed can be adjusted
through hydraulic flow control valve. Both sided of 0° and 180° have two mechanical limit
switch. The function is to limit the rotating angle.

Activity:

a) Name all the label components and its basic function. Fill your answer in Table 2.
b) Understand and observe the system operation as shown in Figure 2. Based on your
understanding, design your ladder diagram to perform the sequence operation by using an
integration of Electro-hydraulic and PLC system.
