ACTIVITY 1.
As a college student, you will encounter academic-related problems or struggles.
However, you will learn something useful for your life as a student. Now, list ten learning
opportunities you will have from studying the life and works of Rizal.
1. I realize when I read some articles about Rizal that we should use our time to the
fullest. Rizal dedicated a big part of his life to self-improvement through self-
education. We can take a leaf from his life and become a better version of
yourself every day.
2. And Rizal taught me too that there’s a virtue in giving. They say “sharing is a
blessing”, giving to another person that we have as an act of freedom that a
person might choose to commit without expectation.
3. It provides insights of freedom and nationalism.
4. It taught us about patriotism.
5. We would become aware of the virtues that the country was founded on by
studying and understanding Rizal's life.
6. Studying Rizal life and works I learn that we should “focus on our goals.” Rizal's
only mission in life was to fight social injustice. He fantasized of releasing fellow
Filipinos at all hours of the day and night. Rizal rose to prominence as a leader of
the Propaganda reform movement, an unyielding struggle for political and social
liberties.
7. Studying Rizal's life and works will serve to remind me of my responsibilities as a
Filipino, making me a more responsible and patriotic citizen.
8. But I'm also a student and a Filipino citizen, I believe that studying Dr. Jose P.
Rizal's life, works, and writings will provide us with moral lessons. Through his
writings, I can relate our government from the past and perhaps give a debt of
gratitude.
9. By studying Dr. Jose Rizal's life, works, and writings. I will be able to discern the
relevance of his principles, thoughts, and life values to current events in the
society and country, and apply them to solving day-to-day situations and
difficulties in modern life.
10. And it taught us and help us to understand better ourselves as a Filipino.
