TRAINING BULLETIN
Welcome to the Training on Climate and Disaster
Risk Assessment conducted by the Local
Government Academy-DILG for the Province of
Davao Occidental, one of the four pilot provinces of
the AECID-funded SCPLG-DRR Project. The 5-day
training program is designed to aid the LGUs in
developing their CDRA by orienting them on the
steps of CDRA preparation, and in the process
develop their knowledge and appreciation of using
climate and disaster risk as their basis for strategic
courses of actions in strengthening their respective
local disaster risk reduction and management
(DRRM) and climate change adaptation and
mitigation (CCAM) systems.
To make the most of this training and allow its
efficient administration, please take note of the
following guidelines:
Administrative Concerns
We will appreciate it if you devote your time and
focus to the program in order to maximize the
experience from the activity. To allow its efficient
administration, please be guided by the following
reminders:
Training venue is at Emerald Rooms, Ground
Floor, The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites, Davao
City.
Registration starts at 08:00 AM, May 20, 2019.
Upon registration, you will receive your ID and
training kit that contains your ID, Training
Manual, Training Bulletin, Program of Activities,
pen, and notebook.
Do not leave your valuables and other personal
items unattended, whether inside the session
room or outside the premises. LGA shall not be
held responsible for lost or misplaced items.
As a standard policy, please be dressed in
appropriate and decent attires. The wearing of
shorts, sandos, and slippers during the sessions
is prohibited.
Make sure that you have signed the registration
and attendance sheets. This will serve as one of
the bases for the issuance of your Certificate of
Appearance and Certificate of Participation. The
certificates shall be given after the Closing
Program of the activity and upon the submission
of the accomplished Post-Activity Evaluation
Forms.
During the Training
You are expected to attend all sessions.
To facilitate acquaintance, you are requested
to wear your ID during training sessions.
We encourage you to put your mobile
phones on silent mode during sessions.
Should you need to make or receive calls,
arrange this to be done during breaks to
avoid interrupting the activity proceedings.
For urgent matters, kindly receive the call
outside the session hall.
You are encouraged to actively participate in
all activities, including the discussions and
other exercises.
Meals
Meals will be provided covering Breakfast, AM
Snack, Lunch, PM Snack and Dinner. Special
request for meals (e.g. halal food) shall be pre-
coordinated with the Secretariat. Meals
provision will start:
June 2: Dinner
June 3-7: Full board
June 8: Breakfast
Breakfast 06:00 AM-08:00 AM
Lunch 12:00 NN-01:00 PM
Dinner 06:00 PM-08:00 PM
All meals shall be served at the main function
room.
