1. The morning and evening are cooler as slanting

sunrays fall on the earth .They are spread over a
larger area and hence the heating is less. At
noon the sun is overhead, the sunrays fall
straight. They are spread over a smaller area.
This results in more heating.

2. Cloudy nights are warmer because the Clouds

are made up of water vapour and act as large
blankets over the Earth's surface which keep the
heat trapped inside the earth and let very little
heat to escape out. That's why the temperature
is warmer than clear nights.
