Summary Session 1 : First session was about Basics of Personal Interview.

What is an Interview? An interview is essentially a structured conversation where one participant
asks questions, and the other provides answers. There are two types of Interview: Public Interview
and Personal Interview.
Why PI is important for selecting a candidate? The personal interview gives the candidate an
opportunity to learn the exact nature of the company's needs. In this interview, the candidate can
use the personal interview topics to sell the marketable skill-set, while discovering more about the
position and the organization.
Types of Interview: General, technical, HR/Suitability etc
Modes of conducting Interview: Online, one-on-one, group, CEO Interaction etc

Please summarize the learning you got from the second video session of SPIP.

Summary Session 2 :
Second session was about Common mistakes in PI : Don’t do serious studying,
Hyperactive/Emotional, Unbalanced behaviour, don’t give them reason to reject, Don’t give bad
representation.
Other mistakes include Arriving late or too early, Inappropriate attire, Using your cellphone, Not
doing company research, Losing your focus, Unsure of resume facts, Talking too much, Speaking
poorly of previous employers.

Please summarize the learning you got from the third video session of SPIP.

Summary Session 3 :
Third session was about Understanding PI process. It include shortlisting, Introduction, Personal
Q&A, CV Q&A, Suitability Q&A, Event of surprise, Offer letter(in the given sequence). Then the
discussion was Interview’s strategy like the person who is taking an interview is more interested in
how you are responding to his question and what are your gestures, body language, verbal attitude
etc.

Please summarize the learning you got from the fourth video session of SPIP.

Summary Session 4 :
Fourth session was about PI preparation. There are two ways of interview preparation: Self
preparation and External help.
Steps for Self preparation:
- Prepare a good CV(one page, modern style, clearly mentioned academics, internships,
training details)
- Prepare your personal profile and memorize it
- Prepare CV explanation sheet and memorize it
- Talk to your connections on the interview experience
- Do some mock interview and brainstorming sessions
External help: like I am taking external help of VCE.

It give me better career opportunity.

skills you have developed in your internship?
Presently I am doing internship in your company i.e. VCE. I am Finance intern and my internship
topic is financial modelling and analysis. This internship is helping me gaining confidence in using
MS Excel.

Q. Are there any specialised training programs or courses you have undertaken? What were
your learnings?
I am presently doing many courses via online platforms like financial analyst course, stock trading
course, Advanced MS Excel course. I also did lean six sigma course.
My learning includes nitty-gritty of finance and its relevant topics.

Q. What are some of your weaknesses and strengths?

Strengths: Good academic knowledge and communication skill.
Weakness: not able to say ‘NO’ when someone ask me a favour.

Q. How do you handle stressful situations? Explain one of your stressful experiences and
how you coped with it?
I handle negativity by looking for positivity in it. I was very stressful when I was not qualified last
round of ITC placement. I cope with it by giving myself hope that may be something better is written
for me.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I want to see myself as an expert in finance domain.
