Emilio Jacinto was known for his bravery and eloquence at a very young age. He was a member
of the Katipunan and the actual author of Kartilya ng Katipunan. This book was written in 1892 to
emphasize the code of conduct of the Katipunan and Katipunan members. Furthermore, it also
emphasizes the principles of every Katipunan that serves as their guide. Moreover, “Mga Aral ng
Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan” was the original title.

The content of the book was focusing on proper conduct, laws, and principle of the Katipunan
who seeks to join the organization. There are 14 emphasized contexts written in that book. They
anticipate it for the Philippines to excel. Kartilya’s objective was mainly focused on one’s duty to God,
nationalism, family, and the organization itself. Thus, it expounds on the importance of honor, loyalty,
charity, and self-sacrifice for sake of the motherland and states warnings for the traitors and

factor for our country for present and future purposes. Although, there is no such thing called perfect
law. The Kartilya ng Katipunan has cons that are very questionable like the payment transactions before
an individual can officially become one of its members. Moreover, it might be significant for them to
have funds and sustain the organization and for their plans to be in action. Additionally, one of their
provisions is to stand for the meek and treat people equally and defend them from the oppressors.

Considering the frequent moving of time. There is a very huge possibility of change in any
circumstances. However, it might not affect at all because it is very relevant in such many ways.
Truthfully, most of the rules written in the book are very applicable in this present time. It is very useful
and relevant in our daily life and on how we can expound the use of our power in choosing the right
leader and use the power of democracy in our hands. Although the unwritten rules of the kartilya ng
Katipunan indicate dictatorship to their action. However, it is normal to set consequences, warnings,
and additional rules for the association to prosper. This will prevent the organization to fall and divert
into another objective.

Generally, it might really help our country in many ways. One example is that the rules in that
book will be a guide for us to use when electing a leader. The second example is that this improves our
