ENGLISH MONTH SCRIPT

In few minutes we will start the program. I would like to remind everyone to mute their
microphone and turn on their camera, if possible, as we go along the program.
According to Sir Derek Walcott, a Saint Lucian poet and playwright, The English
Language is nobody’s special property. It is the property of the imagination: It is the
property of the language itself.
A pleasant morning, English Enthusiasts! Let us begin today’s program with the
guidance from our Almighty God, to be followed by a Nationalistic Song.
While we had a very successful one last year, I must say that our event this year is
much more different and challenging yet fulfilling. It has provided more learning
opportunities not only for the students but also for the teachers.
Now, let us all lend our ears to our Education Program Supervisor, Dr. Rodrigo
Concepcion Morales, as he gives his opening remarks.
A huge thanks,. We truly appreciate your full support to our virtual celebration and to
the English Dept..
This time let us listen to our dearest school principal, , on her inspirational message.
Thank you,. We value the time you gave us despite of your busy schedule.
This School-Based Literary Virtual Celebration started last week. Different competitions
were assigned for each year level. We had Slogan-Making for Grade 7, Poem Writing for
Grade 8, Spoken Poetry for Grade 9, and Characters Portrayal for Grade 10. Of course,
not everyone witnessed all those events. So, let us all focus our attention to our
monitors and have a glimpse of each contest.
Starting off with Grade 7, let us have.
Those are fantastic works, G7!
Grade 8, its now your turn., the floor is yours,
Those are brilliant poems, Grade 8. Impressive!

Time to show us what you’ve got, G10. bring it on!
Wow, see those faces and costumes? Indeed, very creative and captivating.
Truly, is so blessed to have these talented students.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have come now to the most awaited part of this program,
the AWARDING OF WINNERS.
Thank you Mam, and congratulations to all winners.
A WARM ROUND OF VIRTUAL APPLAUSE PLEASE.

Every journey has its end and every path does stop somewhere. During the English
Literary Celebration, we have encountered many challenges like technical difficulties,
and yet, we still made it today. Surely, this pandemic can’t stop us from learning the
language.
Let us continue with the official Closing Remarks by our Head Teacher of the English
Dept, M
Thank you so much for your participation and congratulations. Once again this is Ma’am
Irish, let me leave you with this wisdom from Brad Gerrard ,” Believe in yourself, be
strong, never give up no matter what the circumstances are. You are a champion and
will overcome the dreaded obstacles. Champions take failure as a learning opportunity,
so take in all you can, and run with it. Be your best and don’t ever give up.”
