in Oil & Gas industry
Protection of the installations, environment and health and safety of people has been one of the key topics for industrial
automation projects in the process & hydrocarbon industry over the last few years . This Symposium is aimed at
addressing the best practices required through instrumentations in achieving plant & people safety. The emergence of
International safety standards such as IEC 61508 and ISA S84 brought out on how to achieve plant safety through
functional safety .The Symposium through various lectures and case studies focuses on how to meet the above
objectives.

OISD DATE & VENUE

A technical directorate under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural
Gas, Govt. of India that formulates & develops standards & guidelines
in HSE matters for Oil & Gas industry aimed at enhancing the safety in
the Industry.
It has jurisdiction over the activities of hydrocarbon industry in the
field of Oil Exploration, Crude Stabilization, Gas processing &
Transportation, Petroleum Refinery operations, Pipelines operations,
Storage, Transportation, Distribution & marketing of Crude oil &
Petroleum products and processing of hydrocarbon for production
of bulk Petrochemicals.
Of late OISD has been assigned the responsibility of safety for entire
offshore oil exploration facilities with technical assistance from PSA
Norway and HSE UK.

Foreign Delegate: US$ 800 (plus 12.36% service tax) per Delegate
