Introduce book: Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring by Kenard Pack
Tell students to pay attention to the parts of winter that they
remember seeing and talking about
Pay attention to the colours and the plants and animals they
see in the pictures
Read book - point out the colours and the signs of spring and
winter
Movement break - get ready for a spring day

Brainstorm signs of spring and write key words on the board
Hand out books and have students write some signs of spring,
Encourage students to fill the whole writing area.
Full sentences start with a capital and end with a period.
Write sentence starters on the board and key words
