Residential Experience Centre

BROAD TYPOLOGY OF THESIS

This project has both study part and design part. The study part
is about the user experience of each residential building
typology i.e., a holistic study about one's psychological
association of home and an architectural association of home
and about how ideal each type of residential building typology
should be considering the 21st century world.

PHILOSOPHY OF DESIGN AND THEORETICAL BACKGROUND

We, as humans, occupy this space. One type of architecture

that we have grown over time to accept to the point that it is
now essential to our well being and survival is shelter, a place
we can call home, whether it is in an urban, human-made
context, or more connected to nature .

A Residential Experience Centre is where people of all

categories wish to experience and decide one's psychological
association of home and an architectural association of home,
starting from tiny houses to a condominium.

The physical nature of the dwelling had a significant impact on

altering the occupant's perception towards a home association.
It can therefore be stated that the architectural elements
within a dwelling can have a direct and immediate impact on
the occupant's psychological state, thus determining whether a
house is a home.
JUSTIFICATION

We, as humans, occupy this space. One type of architecture

that we have grown over time to accept to the point that it is
now essential to our well being and survival is shelter, a place
we can call home, whether it is in an urban, human-made
context, or more connected to nature . A study of the
population of England in 2008 found that the health effects of
inequality, which tends to increase the risk of circulatory
disease among those lower down the socioeconomic scale, are
far less pronounced in greener areas.

Alison Brooks, an architect who specializes in housing and

social design, told BBC Future that psychology-based insights
could change how cities are built. “If science could help the
design profession justify the value of good design and
craftsmanship, it would be a very powerful tool and quite
possibly transform the quality of the built environment,” she
says.

Experiencing that before you decide which type of adobe

you’re going to settle for is a big hit I believe. This including
every aspects of designing a residential building. I as an
architect have always believed that home architecture is
something very intense and had to be portrayed in depth about
how important it is when it comes to designing a residential
building and my design includes all types of residential
buildings say townhouses, tiny houses, independent homes,
condominium etc.,
AIM

To study and design an experience centre for residential

building through which I wish to express the potentials and
effects of holistic, user experience and psychological designing
of homes helps in social well being and mental health.

OBJECTIVES

To design an experience centre consisting of all basic residential

building types which is funded by firms specialized in each
residential building types which also acts as their respective
offices such that there is stability economically as well as
commercially.Through this the sellers, visitors, buyers are
equally benefited .

Also to express the potentials and effects of holistic, user

experience and psychological designing of homes helps in social
well being and mental health.
