INTRODUCTION
The type of architecture that we have grown over time to accept to the point
that it is now essential to our well being and survival is shelter, a place we
can call home, whether it is in an urban, human-made context, or more
connected to nature.Adding to that, In recent years, with the rapid
development of economy and society, the speed of population of the aging is
accelerating ,The elderly and age group between 25-31 (first time home
buyers) are looking for a place to either begin or settle rest of their
lives. This thesis is about designing a residential compound consisting of
various residential buildings highlighting design of residential buildings for the
elderly in the context of an aging society.I have also included social
responsive architecture in my proposal.
Integrated Services
The residential compounds started their idea to provide the concept of luxury
for their residents, as they make them not obliged to go out to meet their
needs. Rather, services and goods are sold in the residential compound. This
saves time and effort for the residents of the residential compound. Of course,
this feature is very suitable for students and those who work for long periods
of time and families in general.
Privacy
Privacy and independence for the residents in the residential compound are
the main advantages that you cannot get in single properties.

OBJECTIVES
SCOPE
In the long term, self-sustaining communities will help to cut down the
carbon footprint by providing more opportunities for renewable energy,
better water and waste recycling which I have not highlighted in my thesis.
I find that many people from the Millennial and Gen Z generations are
looking for affordable housing options also incorporating 21st century
advancements.
METHODOLOGY
The thesis methodology is foreseen in three phases.
Phase 1
Understanding in depth about every objectives of my topic and figuring out
how each objectives can be approached.
Based on the findings from the above understandings, I’ll then decide the
scopes of my project.
Phase 2
Thorough study about each type of residential building which I have
decided to incorporate in my design.
Data collection based on the building typology, scope.
Tentative requirements and area statements according to my data
collection.
Then make sure I have minimum three options for site.
Phase 3
Deciding literature and live case study for each type of residential building
and also based on the social approach I have highlighted in my proposal.
Comparative analysis and inference based on the case studies.
Revising the requirements after study and then conceptual stage.
Deciding on site base on the study and complete understanding of site
and context.
Providing design solution based, making sure it satisfies all my objectives
and also respecting all my data collection, analysis and conclusions.

The idea of going higher was restricted by the existing Bye-laws
which did not allow the building to go beyond 12m. The master
plan had to thus examine and organize the programs of the site to
address the complexities of Super luxury living within the Green
Parameters embedded within the site context.
