Submarine
Civil submarie
Civilian submarines are usually much smaller than military ones, because
space must be used. Tourists tend to operate in tropical recreation areas or
other areas with clear waters and good visibility. Most of them have a
capacity of between 25 and 50 passengers, making ten or more dives a day.
Its design derives from that of research submarines, having large portholes
for passengers to enjoy the views and placing important mechanical systems
outside the hull to save interior space, despite which this is usually scarce.
They are mostly powered by electric batteries and are very slow.

what technological advance was the submarine?

technological advances make it possible to explore previously unattainable
depths.

Who built the submarine?

The first submersible whose execution is reliable information was built

in 1620 by Cornelius Jacobszoon Drebbel, a Dutchman in the service of
James I of England.

It was propelled by means of oars, although its exact nature is the

subject of some controversy: some claim that it was simply a bell towed
by a boat. Two improved types were tested on the Thames between
1620 and 1624. However, recent investigations have revealed that
Jerónimo de Ayanz y Beaumont, the forgotten Spanish engineer who
registered the first patent on a steam engine, had already built a
submarine. in 1600.

Attack submarines can be divided into two general types: nuclear or

diesel-electric. The former are faster and larger, and have more
firepower and greater autonomy than the latter. Depending on the
typical mission for which they are destined, diesel-electric submarines
are sometimes better suited for missions in shallow waters or coastal.
To bridge the gap between these two very different designs, various
navies have started developing anaerobic powered vessels, which can
be used like diesel-electric but with a longer dive time.
