Facilitated Poster Session Monday, June 11 at 4:00 pm

This involves a short (3 minute) presentation from each poster presenter highlighting key points from
their poster followed by group discussion. The purpose of facilitated poster sessions is to allow an
opportunity for participants to share ideas and insights.

Why consider submitting a poster?

Presenting posters at conferences is an important way for people to share and disseminate their
scholarly work with other colleagues at a local, national and international level. It is great way to get
ideas out there. Since these activities are peer-reviewed, it is also considered an objective standard by
which to measure one’s productivity as a scholar and academic.

Why a poster session at North York General?

We know there is vast amount of high quality education at North York General. To make this work you
already do “scholarly” requires a little more effort with great rewards. Take the time to share your
incredible work and passion with your colleagues. For some of you, you may already be presenting a
poster at another conference and this may just be a dry run. For others, this is a great opportunity to get
some experience in a friendly low-stakes environment. And your presentation can be included in your
curriculum vitae also!

Are you a first time presenter?

If this is your first time creating and presenting a poster – we can help.
