a) To be qualified as a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the


candidate will be assessed by the panel interviewers during the Professional Interview.
Describe the criteria that should be fulfilled by the candidate to become the IEM Corporate
Member and hold the ‘Ir’ title.

b) The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) are
two (2) important bodies that govern the engineers in Malaysia. Elaborate briefly the functions
of these institutions and compare the difference between both institutions based on their
contribution in national human resources development.

important to assess the risk.
