Cost Reduction: Driving 12% of cost reduction for semi-customized large IC, desi
gned into the system without cost agreement and contribute $30 million of cost r
eduction on total $130 million spending.
Led the intern and junior commodity specialist to formulate cost of desktop chas
sis assembly, front panel, tooling, documentation for new and existing product t
o negotiate with suppliers for new platform.
Ramp up strategic suppliers' performance to company satisfied level; Developed s
uppliers measurement matrix and led the suppliers business review:
1) Brought up the factory without complex PCBA manufacturing experience from dai
ly output 50pcs to 1,500 per single SMT line
2) Brought up the factory from PCI V.92 modem EMS provider to capable to build e
xtremely small form factor of wireless modules for printer, smart handheld appli
cation and fine tune the performance
Contract negotiation: closed agreement with major suppliers including product pu
rchasing agreement, risk assessment, disaster recovery plan and execution
Program Management: led the program team cross function of the company, working
with customers in different geographies to transit multiple products from NPI ce
nter to factory and ramp up MP and built up the dedicated production department.
