DIRECTION: Based on the video, answer the following questions briefly.

A. WEIGHING
How does the mass of 1 piece one-peso coin compare with the average mass of
the coin? What May be the possible cause of the difference in the mass if there is
any?

 There is a slight difference between the mass of 1 piece of one peso and the
average mass pf the 5 pieces peso coin. The possible cause is the gravity.
Gravity added weight on the 5 pieces of one peso coin

B. MEASURING THE VOLUME OF A LIQUID

Does the lower meniscus of the water coincide with the 5 mL mark of the
graduated cylinder?

 Yes, when you look at the graduated cylinder in eye level, you can tell that the
lower meniscus coincide with the 5mL mark.

C. FILTRATION AND DECANTATION

How do the liquids obtained in both methods differ in terms of appearance, if
any?

 In filtration the appearance of the filtrate is clear while in the decantation, the
liquid obtain is unclear it seems like the solid and liquid didn’t separate
completely

D. EVAPORATION
Describe the residue left in the evaporating dish.

 The residue left on the evaporating dish when we evaporated the carbon chloride
and sodium carbonate is called precipitate.
