NOTE: This task is inactive since revision dated May 01/16 and is superseded by Task TASK 55-44-00-300-011.
A. General
This repair is applicable for the rudder tip of the vertical stabilizer. Refer to Chapter 55-44-00Pageblock 101 for the repair zones
and allowable damage data.
NOTE: This repair principle is applicable for all A320-200 WV listed in the SRM Introduction, since May 01/17 revision.

2. Repair Procedure
A. Permanent Repair (Refer to Figure 001)
NOTE: There are two types of repairs available for those damage. It depends on the damage area (Refer to Chapter 55-44-
00Pageblock 101). You can do a repair of Hole Damage or an Edge Band Repair. The repair procedure is nearly the same.
(1) Remove screws in the repair area and one screw left and right of the repair area.
(2) Mark the repair area.
(3) Put a metal sheet (1.0 mm (0.039 in.)) between tip and rudder panel to protect the inner side of the rudder structure. Fix it
with tape.
(4) Remove damaged material (Refer to Figure 001).
(5) Remove metal sheet.
(6) Remove unwanted material from the repair area with a vacuum cleaner.
(7) Clean the repair area with cleaning agent (Material No. 11-003 or 11-004).
(8) Apply structure paint (wash primer) (Material No. 16-020) to the repair area.
(9) Apply structure paint (polyurethane primer) (Material No. 16-001) to the repair area.
(10) After curing of primer fill void with sealant (Material No. 09-013) (only for the Repair of Hole Damage).
(11) Install screws.
